Calm Space at WCHS

A calm space was opened in 2023 for WCHS students.  Mrs. White was awarded $10,000 through Kentucky's ESSER Funds and the project grant through WKEC.  With the help of SMILE Club students, the space was designed and decorated to be used by students who need a brief break from the classroom when they are feeling anxious, stressed, angry, or upset.  A second space is also available in our Instructional Coach's room, Mrs. Abby Ranes, which is in between the social studies and math halls.  Some pictures of our counseling office space are below:
