As we wrap up our first two weeks, we want to thank everyone who has helped make these first days so successful. The first few weeks of school are always an adjustment, but we appreciate your patience and are proud of how our Webster County Schools family has come together. Here's to a wonderful year ahead!

Every school day is an opportunity to learn, grow, connect, and be part of something bigger. When students are at school, they are better positioned to learn, build relationships, and experience success.

As we begin a new school year, Webster County Schools is placing a renewed focus on strong attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism. We know that every family faces challenges, and we are committed to partnering with families to help students attend school regularly and successfully.

Throughout this school year, we’ll share helpful attendance information, resources, reminders, and tips for families—including attendance expectations, excused absences, missed instructional time, and ways we can work together when attendance becomes a challenge.

🏖️ WC Schools Vacation Planner 🏖️

We're excited to introduce the 2026-2027 WC Schools Vacation Planner, a quick-reference guide designed to help families plan vacations, appointments, and other activities throughout the school year.

The planner highlights extended weekends, holiday breaks, staff development days, and other key opportunities to schedule time away while helping students make the most of classroom time.

The WC Band directors have scheduled two “try-on” sessions this month for 6th-grade students in Webster County. This is their chance to explore instrument options and find the perfect fit!

Special arrangements have been made with the educational department at H & H Music to help parents obtain a quality instrument for their child. An evaluation will be given to determine which instrument is best suited for your child. Students can try different instruments and make their first sound. This is a great opportunity for students to explore a variety of instruments before deciding.

Please use the registration link or scan the QR code to reserve an appointment time. Most appointments last around 20-25 minutes.
